THE FACE TOOL

Benefits

THE FACE TOOL offers deep myo-fascial massage which not only improves circulation, promotes repair, and enhances lymphatic drainage, but also helps reduce holding patterns in the facial structures cause by prolonged expressions, strain or dehydration on a cellular level.

Caution

Be mindful of using the roller on any damaged or compromised or sunburnt skin. Rest your skin, and resume your routine once the skin has healed.

Our Practice

Gently cleanse your skin, beginning with a clean moist skin.

Apply a modest layer of natural face oil to assist in the smooth glide of the rollers, and encourage the deep absorption of the facial oil to nourish the skin.

Use long smooth strokes: focus on one direction at a time. Gently, move from the center of the face , to the periphery. You may wish to gently anchor the skin at the center of the face with one or two fingers and move the tool away from this starting point.

Minimize rolling vigorously back and forth over the same spot as not to over stimulate the skin.

Aim for 5-10 repetitions of each gliding stoke or explore more or less, depending on your skins needs.

Neck: detoxify

Start at the base of the neck and roll upward to just beneath the ear and jawline.

Finish with a single stroke, down from the jawline to the collar bone.

Roll outward from the center of the chest, to the outside of the shoulders.

* The neck is an important pathway of the lymphatic system whereby many toxins leave the head area.

Jawline:  sculpt the jaw

Start at the chin and trace each roller on either side of the ridge jawline , towards the ears.

Option to finish the strokes with a gentle “wiggle” of the tool, mimicking acu-pressure massage.

Cheeks: sculpt the cheeks

Start at the nose and trace each roller on either side of the ridge cheek bone, towards the hairline.

Option to finish the strokes with a gentle “wiggle” of the tool, mimicking acu-pressure massage.

Brows: reduce muscle tension

Start at the center of the forehead and trace each roller on either side of the ridge brow bone, towards the hairline.

Forehead: reduce muscle tension

Roll the fore-head vertically from the brow upwards, starting between your brows and making your way towards the hairline.

Roll the forehead, horizontally from the center of the forehand out towards the hairline.

Repeat : 3-5 times a week for best results or in conjunction with other self-care practices
